off to siena this morning! took side roads to get there. avoid the tolls that way. plus we get to see tons of awesome stuff. we are in tuscana, which is comepletely awesome. wineries everywhere, towers on random hills, castles and castle towns every hour. we, of course, were listening to techno much of the way. we only had one cd and that was it. so basically i know these techno beats pretty well now. :) i was driving, of course, racing around all these little turns in the tiniest car ever. clemens wasnt feeling well...he kept coughing and asking us to roll the windows up. i dont want swine flu all that bad so i just ignored him consistenly all day. he was probably gonna leave us at siena and head to innsbruck back home.
the drive was awesome! stopped and explore like 4 villages that were old castle towns. climbed castles and completely dominated them. every town was like a little maze of streets crazy buildings. we found an old church in one town. no one was inside, and we were able to sneak up into the bell tower. it was so sketching though..i dont think anyone had been in there since the middle ages. there were bones of dead birds lying EVERYWHERE, and a reallllly old wooden staircase leading all the way up. if one plank on the staircase broke, we would fall alll the way down and most likely die..next to the birds. it was actually intense. but we made it up to the bell like champions would. all the towns were so amazing, and we had an awesome time exploring. so by the time we got to sienna it was dark. spend a little time in siena. one night. explored the medeival city to the max. piazza del campo is so dope.a huge plaza that overlooks a massive tower that can be seen from anywhere in the city. kicked it out there most of the time... clemens took off as expected. just me and moritz now. siena is really small so it didnt take long for us to see the whole city and take off again.
